Welcome to VFNHP Local 5221

We, the nurses at Fletcher Allen Healthcare have organized a union with the Vermont Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals (VFNHP) to improve the quality of care for patients and the working conditions for nurses through out the healthcare system.

VFNHP is affiliated with over 70,000 nurses and other healthcare professionals who make up the healthcare division of the American Federation of Teachers. The nurses of Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Brattleboro, Vermont, have been members of the Federation for most of the last twenty years. Our AFT state federation is the United Professions of Vermont/AFT, which represents over 2,000 healthcare workers and educators in the state.
